About the Speakers:
Milan and Kay Yerkovich are parents of four grown children and have been successfully working in the field of counseling for over 20 years.
"The biggest need of the child is attachment. Everyone is searching for an answer to the question "Who's am I? To whom do I belong?" In trying to help my adopted children gain the secure style of attachment, I saw that I myself had an insecure style of connecting, that I had accrued from my childhood. Having gained experience in the field of trauma I understood that children most often imitate the attachment style of their parents. With Kay and Milan's help, I was able to see that the ways that I give and receive love to my spouse and others, I also am training my children in the way that I was taught by my parents. Thanks to Milan and Kay I received new tools of establishing a style of connecting, advice like how to build trusting, close connection with my husband and children." — Elmira Knutzen, Adoptive parent, Moscow, Russia.
